So I have my last exam wednesday. It is going to be a tough one, but I'll pass it :) And then, I start with my graduation research project. This takes 3/4th of a year and has to result in a master thesis. Then I'm finally finished studying @ university :)

I'm going to do this research at Philips Medical Systems! I really wanted to do my final research project about (medical) imaging and they had a really cool project about computer-aided polyp quantification and characterization. It's about finding beginning colon polyps in CT scans. These polys often lead to colon cancer and therefore screening for these kinds of polyps may help reducing the number of people suffering from colon cancer. I'm going to research a computer program that detects these polyps and helps radiologists determine the size of a polyp, that is an important factor to decide if it should be removed.

I'm really excited that I can do my final project at one of the biggest and most popular companies of the Neterlands :) I'll keep you up to date ;)

ted is cool :D this little piece of software that i wrote together with joost is downloaded almost 20.000 times in the past 10 days!! :D Isnt that cool? We've never dreamt of this amount of attention. All kinds of people are using ted and sending in features they want added or bugs they found. This means we actually have to implement and fix those things and that takes some time :) We just released ted 0.60, our 3rd public release.

Now I dont have time to work on ted anymore, I really have to go study for my second-last subject @ university! After that I can start graduating (this takes 9 months). I found a really cool place and project to graduate on, I'll tell you more about that tomorrow :)

So I'm 24 :) I celebrated my birthday last sunday with my whole family. In previous years I always celebrated @ my parents place. But because I now have a really large casa of my own, I invited everyone to my room. And that was cool :D Everyone fitted in and the pie I made together with my mom was really tasty. And most important of all: I got loads of presents :)

On my real birthday, wednesday, I went to my parents. My mom cooked me a tasty dinner and I had some drinks together with my parents. Even though I already got my presents that sunday, it felt like a birthday :)

I still have to celebrate it with my friends, but exams are coming up so I guess I'll do that somewhere in february :)

Ted is available for public download! Ted (Torrent Episode Downloader) is a tool that Joost and I made and that finds new episodes of tv shows when they are published on torrentsites. So for instance, you can use it to find new episodes of 24 that just started it's 5th season. (Oh boy are the first two episodes cool or what? :)

Back from my wintersport! Didn't break anything. I do have a dogbite, frozen ear and a burn on my arm though :) Tell you more about it in a few days!
