27 April 05 18:06 byMe and my friends started playing snooker a few months ago. We play one or two frames every now and then.. And I have to admit, we are not very good at it. One frame takes us up to one hour and I never potted more then one red and one coloured ball :) Ah well it's fun to do, and it helps improving my pool/billiard skills.

Pff. I was busy the last couple of weeks! Really busy with 2 huge
practical assignments for my study, and I also had an exam yesterday :(
But fortunatly everything is over now, I have a short break till
monday, when the next period starts.
For one subject, "Image Processing", we had to work together in groups of five and make a program that does some image processing steps on input images. Our problem was one out of the medical area. When people are scanned in a MRI or CT scanner, only a few slices are made. If you want to convert these slices into a 3D image of a person, you miss a lot of slices. We made a program that compared different methods to fill up the gaps between the slices that come out of the scanners. You can read our article here (hehe beware, its boring :))
It took quit some time to finish it all last friday, so I had not enough time to prepare for my "Optimizing" exam monday, that I probably failed.. Ah well, in a month I can redo it so :)
update: recieved the final grade for this assignment! an 8.5! and I quote:
The final report shows insight; is well sectioned and well written.
