birthday tomorrow! 21 years old... pff.. it feels like i've gotten really really old suddenly.. in the usa this is like some important age, allowed to drink and stuff but here in holland its nothing.. alcohol is legal from 16, driving a car from 18 and drink a vodka also with 18...

but no time to celebrate, going on a winstersporttrip tomorrow, together with guido! We're going to Briançon, france.. Really looking forward to it, have some fun boarding in the snow!

it's election day today here in the netherlands. you might have heard of the election that was last year here, pim fortuyn got murdered and his party lijst pim fortuijn became the 3rd party in the parlement. But it was a new and unexperienced party so there were a lot of people in it that couldnt behave and fought their party-mates in public. A few scandales later the cabinet fell, after 87 days. And now we've got new elections...

The 87-days government was a center-right oriented one (CDA (centre), VVD & LPF (right). I voted SP (socialist party (left)) last time, but know i was in doubt.. should i vote for the SP agian, or should i vote for the PvdA, so it can become the biggest again, and we hopefully get a center-left oriented government this time..
Well I voted for the PvdA today, know i hope a good part from my fellow dutchies did the same thing :D

Started a new block of lectures last week. Got 2 subjects: Automated Reasoning and Software-Architecture. I won't bore you with the details of Automated Reasoning :D Software-Architecture is kindof cool, we learn how to make a plan for a piece of software without actually making it. And the plan has to be readable for programmers, but also for management people or customers.. We do it in a group of five, and we havent got exams for this subject so thats cool :D

I also took a close look at all the abroad traineeships available through AIESEC, and selected 10 cool ones.. They're in Canada, Tunesia, Japan, England, Australia and Germany.. You can imagine that i'm not really into going to germany for a traineeship, its too nearby.. I think a traineeship in Japan makes a good chance, they had a cool assignment, make apps for mobile phones!
