I'm really busy with school right now. Thursday I have 2 exams plus an article of 6000 words that I have to hand in. I'm now at 1/4th, 1500 words.. busybusybusy...

Had a reunion on my grammar-school two weeks ago :D I graduated in 2000 so it was pretty cool to see everyone again.

A photographer made photos, i recieved two, one group-photo with everyone (who was at the reunion) who gradutated in my year, and one taken at the entry, me and kajo :D

I'm experimenting with advertisements on the photo gallery pages 'cause the photo gallery uses way too much bandwidth... But i dont wanna take it offline so I hope you'll click on these ads once in a while so I get some money to pay for the GBs of bandwidth the gallery uses (total of 7GB last month :D)

An alternative would be to make the gallery passwordprotected and only people who pay 50cents or something per month are allowed in, but i think these ads are a better idea, to start with and see how many $$ they get me :D

So again a call for serverspace: who can spare 700mb and +/- 7GB bandwidth per month to keep my gallery online, without ads or subscription services? contact me!

busy with school (i follow 3 subjects instead of 2 'cause I failed one last year)

busy with sinterklaas last week, got a lot of cool presents. A poster of faithless, a cd-tower, a lot of big soda-glasses, a calendar, christmas-lights and a lot more! it seems like i was brave last year :D

busy with a presentation that i had monday. I told something about Virtual Private Networks (download the ppt, dutch) Had to talk for over 35 minutes.. pfew that was long but it went pretty good so :D

busy busy busy :D

Tomorrow I'm going to Anne again, to have some dinner. We're going to make our own fresh pasta... err.. :D

I told you about my plans to go abroad for a traineeship; i got through the selection meetings and now i'm signed in with AIESEC, a worldwide orginazation that sends people abroad for traineeships!! Cool ha? :D They have a large database with all kinds of traineeships in more then 80 countries so it should be no pain in the ass to find a cool one.. I'll keep you informed about my going-abroad-project..

Busy this week, it's sinterklaas again, lots of you people mailed me with the question what sinterklaas is, so lemme answer that:

sinterklaas is some kind of old holy man that gives all the good children presents, and all the bad go with him in a bag to spain :D
its more popular then christmas here, so the parents most of the time buy presents for their children, and then let the neighbour put the bag with presents in front of the door and knocks, the children think sinterklaas was there, leaving them all kinds of presents

The presents most of the time come with a note that comes from sinterklaas or zwarte piet (his helpers :) that says something about the child, or why this present is given. the note is written in rhym.

the older children and grownups make eachother 'suprises'. Gifts wrapped in an object that has something to do with the person you give it too. Or you just make up something stupid like 10 notes everywhere in the house, the first leads to the second and after a trip around the house the last note directs to the present :D its alsways fun to make and get these suprises; they most of the time make fun of the person where its given to so :D

'Sinterklaas' always takes some very special food with him:

chocolate letters.. i dont know where they are for original, but they taste good :D most of the time sinterklaas gives you the letter of your name :D or if they're sold out an S of sinterklaas..

'pepernoten' or 'kruidnoten' are also typically 'sinterklaas'? If you have some store in your neighbourhood that sells Dutch stuff you should definitly try them, theyre good! Also 'speculaas' is very tasty. I dont like 'taaitaai' its too 'taai' :D
'marsepein', you might know that, is also really good :D
enough good stuff to eat when sinterklaas arrives :D

i hope this explains one of the most traditional hollidays here in holland :D
