Radiohead just released their new video for House of Cards. It was shot without a camera. Lasers were used to make 3D images of Thom and the resulting data was visualized in this video. The results are cool but also a little chaotic. The cool thing is that you can download all the source data of the video and create your own!

If you’re curious how they did it, check the making of. The chaotic effect was on purpose, they distorted the 3D scanner with a plexiglass thinghee.

Next week I’m going to sail from IJmuiden (NL) to Lowestoft (UK) over the north sea, then enjoy the British coast for a few days, and then sail back from UK to NL again. Togheter with my father, uncle and a friend of my uncle. Its going to be a cool trip! It will take us 22 hours to get from NL to the UK, crossing shipping lanes, oil rigs, etc. And sail through the night. Pretty exciting!

Let’s hope the weather stays good and there is wind (but not too much ;)

Yesterday I went to a concert of the Eagles of Death Metal in the Melkweg, Amsterdam. Sick concert!

It started with one crazy support act that at the end of their show was playing from the balcony (they started just in front of the stage). Weirdos!

The Eagles rocked all they way, playing loud and clear, even replaying some songs in the end to keep the crowd happy. Check this little vid from yesterday (and note the sexy stagediver ;)

I worked at Wouter Hamel’s concert friday and saturday I worked at Don Diablo’s 3 hour dj set. While I don’t really like his music, the crowd was going crazy:

Yesterday I worked as lighttech at a concert of Wouter Hamel. Good poppy jazz played with a extremely skilled band.

In november and december I went for 6 weeks to San Francisco for a business trip :) Really cool! We had to work ofcourse, but we had enough time off to enjoy the city and the surroundings!
