Who are you?
I'm Roel (pronounce Roel as Rule). I'm a 24 y/o male :)

Where do you live?
I live in a city named Utrecht in a country named the Netherlands (also known as Holland).. Holland is near Germany and above Belgium, Utrecht is 35 minutes by car from Amsterdam. (check this map)

What do you do beside running a cam?
I like to drink something with my friends in a nice little cafe. Also like to work out to get (and keep) my body in shape :) To see what me and my friends are doing, check my photo-gallery..

I work as a light-jockey in a huge nightclub and I do some webdesign-jobs to get some extra money.

But it's not always partytime.. I am in my fifth year of a study called Computer Science. I got one year behind because I failed a lot of subjects in the 2nd and 3rd year. I am following the Geometry, Imaging and Virtual Environments master program, it's about Image processing, 3d models, games and stuff.

In my spare time I also produce my own music and mixes, you can listen to them right here.

What kind of equipment do you have?
I use a AMD Athlon 2600+mhz based pc, with a philips toucam pro (cam1), and a TV-card with video-in connection with my digicam connected to it (cam2). Cam2 is mounted on a trackercam so you can control its movements. Conquercam is the program wich grabs and sends the pictures.

This site is hosted on the sever of Jaze. The weblog tool I use to update my frontpage is Pivot, the photogallery is a program called Coppermine.

Your cam picture does not refresh, what's wrong?
Make sure you've got the latest Java software installed. Then check if I'm online, use any instant messenger to do that.. When I'm online, first try to refresh the whole cam page, the java-applet I'm using to refresh the cam is a little buggy. If that doesn't work, it's hard to tell what's wrong.. Maybe I'm online but haven't I turned the cam on. You could ask me if it's on or not :)
